That’s what bridal boudoir is for. It has nothing to do with being “wedding perfect” and everything to do with being seen.
What Is Bridal Boudoir, Really?
Strip away the lingerie and the soft lighting for a second, and bridal boudoir is simply this: an intimate photography session, taken in the days or weeks before your wedding, that celebrates you exactly as you are right now — in this body, at this stage of your life, about to begin your next great love story.
It’s a private, guided experience — just you and me in the studio. No pressure to pose “perfectly,” no expectation to look like anyone but yourself. My job is to help you feel completely at ease, so what comes through in the images is real: your confidence, your softness, your strength, your joy.
Who It's For
Bridal boudoir isn’t reserved for a certain body type, age, or relationship status with your own confidence. It’s for:
- The bride who wants to gift her partner something deeply personal — a luxury album that says *this is me, all of me*
- The bride who wants to do it purely for herself — a celebration of the woman she’s become before she becomes someone’s wife
- The bride who’s never felt fully comfortable in her own skin and wants this as a turning point
- The bride in her bridal party, treating her besties to a joint celebration of confidence and sisterhood
- Any woman marrying any partner, in any kind of love story
Which brings me to something I want to say clearly: **this is for every bride.**
Not Just for Brides Marrying a Man
So much of the bridal industry — boudoir included — is built around a very narrow story: woman marries man, wears white, poses “for him.” That’s not the story I’m here to tell.
I photograph women. Women who are marrying women, women marrying non-binary partners, women who are queer, questioning, or simply done with squeezing themselves into a mould that never fit. Love is love, and confidence deserves to be celebrated no matter who you’re walking down the aisle toward — or who’s walking down it with you.
If you’ve ever felt like the “bridal experience” wasn’t built with you in mind, I want you to know: my studio is. This is a space built on being seen and celebrated exactly as you are, with exactly who you love.
Why Do It?
A few reasons brides come to me for this:
- It’s a gift — but the biggest gift is often to yourself. Many women say the confidence they gain in that one session outlasts the wedding day itself.
- It marks a transition. You’re closing one chapter and opening another. Bridal boudoir is a way of honouring the woman you are *right now*, before “wife” becomes part of your identity.
- It’s proof.Proof that you are worthy of being celebrated, admired, and adored — not because of how you look on your wedding day, but because of who you are underneath it.
- It’s a keepsake beyond the wedding. Long after the flowers have wilted and the dress is boxed away, that gallery — or that luxury printed album — remains. A reminder of a woman fully in her power.
What to Expect
There’s no need to have “boudoir confidence” walking in — most brides don’t. What you need is a willingness to show up. I’ll guide you through everything: posing, styling, lighting, all of it. This is a collaborative, safe, private experience from start to finish.
Ready to Celebrate You?
Before the vows, before the noise of wedding planning, before you become someone’s bride — celebrate the woman you already are.
